Aging Baby Boomers
On January 2, 2017, NPR Morning Edition discussed a growing issue facing a significant portion of the population. Namely that they are aging without family support. The broadcast can be accessed here. The baby boomer generation faces a care giving challenge into old age because they are more likely to be divorced, never to have married, had smaller families, or had their children move away than previous generations. As a result professional care giving services are increasing and aging baby boomers are relying on friends for assistance.
